Standard Goldendoodles

Doodles were first produced as service dogs for owners that were sensitive to dog dander. A labrador retriever bred to a poodle produces a labradoodle. A golden retriever bred to a poodle produces a goldendoodle.

The crossing of a retriever with a poodle often produces a dog that is more hypoallergenic and sheds less than a purebred retriever. Doodles are wonderful dogs! Visit www.goldendoodles.com for more information about the breed.

Standard Goldendoodles

DoodleQuest raises toy and mini goldendoodles. A toy poodle (under 10 inches at the shoulder) bred to our goldens produces a toy goldendoodle. A mini poodle (10 inches at the shoulder or more but under 15 inches) bred to our goldens produces a mini goldendoodle. The average mini goldendoodle is 18-42 lbs and 32-50 cm at the shoulder.

We anticipate our toy goldendoodles will be at the lower end of the mini'sweight and height or slightly under. Above is a photo of Zoe, our golden retriever who was bred to Willie, our cream toy poodle. She had 2 girls and 3 boys on 9/10/03.
