Doodlequest Stud Dogs

Goldendoodles are a relatively new 'breed' in the dog world. The success of this breed is in the hands of the breeders. If the breeders are very careful about their breedings and produce healthy, well tempered, well structured dogs we are sure that goldendoodles will grow in popularity. If the breeders cut corners and use inferior dogs in their programs and produce unhealthy, ill tempered and poorly stuctured dogs then the goldendoodles be seen in an unfavorable light and the 'breed' will be doomed. All the potential in these dogs will be lost. It is critical that all goldendoodles keep the highest standards in their breeding program.

We think that genetic diversity is one component that is critical to the goldendoodle's success. For this reason we have instituted The Genetic Diversification Program. This program is open to all doodle breeders including labradoodle, Multigen and backcross breeders. We ask that the breeders contact us for more details on the program.

DoodleQuest has gone to extreme lengths to provide a diverse selection of stud dogs for our limited breeding program. We offer stud service to outside qualified dogs. Below are our boys. We think they are the best of what the poodle has to offer.

Jack is a lovely apricot standard poodle puppy. His parents have their eye clearances (CERF) and hip clearances (OFA). I purchased Jack to use in our standard doodle program.

Pierre is a black and white parti standard puppy. We looked long and hard before we found him in Oklahoma. We expect him to be a small standard of about 17 inches. We purchased him for our genetic diversification program because of all he has to offer. He has great stucture and movement. Pierre will pass on the parti gene to many of his offspring so that mulitgens or backcrosses with his prodgeny
can produce parti's. Since he is a smaller standard we are hoping he will throw smaller f1 pups.

Joker is a red miniature poodle. Depending on the season and his length of coat sometimes he looks like a very deep apricot. We drove all the way to Flordia from Kentucky to pick up Joker. He has a very strong champion pedigree. His father is pointed and only needs one more major to finish his championship. Joker has a great sense of humor and outstanding structure.

Cargo is a black and white parti miniature poodle. We shipped him in from Washington. We really love his personality. He already has his CERF clearances and is old enough to breed. Doodlequest purchased him for our genetic diversification program because of his size and color pattern. He will pass on the parti gene to many of his offspring so that the multigens and backcrosses with is prodgeny can produce partis.

Coco is a stunning phantom chocolate mini puppy. We went to Ohio to pick him up. We really love his markings. We think he will pass on the phantom gene to may of his offsprings so that the multigens and backcrosses with his prodgeny can produce phantoms.

Willie is a larger cream toy poodle. He has been our main stud dog. He has produced wonderfully temperamented, sound. beautiful pups. He is a carrier for apricot parti. We have gotten rave reviews from the owners of his pups.

Frosty is an apricot toy poodle. We drove all the way to Flordia on another occasion to pick him up. Both of his parents are finished champions. He has a very strong champion pedigree. He is a quiet, cuddly dog with excellent structure. We can't wait to see what he produces.

Our Girls

Gracie is a sweetheart of a dog. She was so easy going we let our 4 year old son, John show her at the dog show. John won
first place with her, getting a blue ribbon. I think both John and Gracie were overjoyed.

My daughter, Beth, wanted a dog of her own. We bred to an OFA excellent, pointed dog to produce Glory. The first time Beth went in the ring with Glory, Glory got reserve winners. All of the other handlers were adults and professional handlers. We were pleased for the both of them.

Abby is a very sweet, loving dog. Not only is she outstanding but she carries some very important genetics in our breeding program. Her father is George who is our foundation dog. George has progeny are seeing eye dogs, physical support dogs, autistic support and hopefully a seizure alert dog. You would need to meet him to really appreciate him. He is happy and healthy at 13 years old. Abby has had 2 major wins and only needs one more to attain her International Championship.

My daughter, Becky, wanted her own dog. We wanted to produce something really special. We imported semen from the #1 dog in England, Fred. His semen had been shipped all over the world but never to the USA. We bought the last available semen. We produced a wonderful litter and kept Sparkle from the pups. After we bought the 10 year old semen Fred passed on and post humously the following year became the #1 dog in England again. Sparkle has her International Championship. She is a pleasure to own.

Comfort Retrievers

We have been working on developing a breed of miniature type golden retrievers. We call them comfort retrievers. Below is a photo of an adult comfort retriever that weighs 35 lbs and an adult golden retriever that weighs 75 lbs. We have done a breeding of a comfort retriever to a toy poodle to produce the world's first comfortdoodles. We expect they will be very similar to toy and mini goldendoodles.
