DoodleQuest
DoodleQuest is located in Nicholasville near Lexington, Kentucky. We have been involved with golden retrievers for 25 years. DoodleQuest is very selective in the dogs it uses for breeding.

We believe that health and temperament are the cornerstones on which all other accomplishments are built. Our four children are involved with our dogs.

Becky was 11 years old when she put two International Champions on our dogs. Beth was 9 years old when she put a National Champion of a dog we produced.

Community Activity
Both of our older children are active in the 4-H Dog club and have put CGC (Canine Good Citizens) on our dogs.

This year they entered the Kentucky 4-H Dog Show at the State Fair. Becky won 3rd place in her class in Junior Handling with stiff competition. Beth won 1st place in her class in Junior handling and 1st place in Novice A. She then went on to win High In Trial. This is extraordinary considering it is the first year she was allowed in 4-H due to her young age. She defeated 10-19 year olds and had the highest scoring dog in the state.
Beth was invited to attend the English Springer Spaniel National Specialty show September 2003. She showed a dog that she hardly knew. She won her novice Jr. class and defeated all the other juniors to become the 2003 English Springer Spaniel Specialty Junior of the Year. Of special note is that she defeated the #1 Jr. handler in all breeds. It is believed that this is the first time in the club's history that a novice jr has won this award and that she is the youngest child ever to receive this honor. She has now set her goal to qualify as a Jr. for Westminster.
Our children have won numerous awards and trophies with their dogs in both conformation, junior handling and obedience.
